Looking For Daybed Comforter Set?

There are defining times in all of our lives when we know that we have done a good job. I have been a social worker for many years and I know that through the course of my career I have touched many lives; however I have derived my greatest sense of accomplishment in the way I have parented my children and the values that they possess. My son and daughter are both very talented in many ways. They are out going and enjoy getting involved in community events. They have good core relationships and are both completed with college. My daughter has decided to follow in my foot steps and has earned a degree in social work. She has decided that she is going to work in a small rural community in one of the poorer regions of our state. I convinced her to live in the small town next to the community that she is working in. I have found over the years that even a small distance is better than no distance when it comes to living in the community in which you work.

The small town does not have a great deal to offer in regards to rental property. She did find a small apartment that is located over one of the stores on the main street. The apartment is clean, but quite small. There are two small bedrooms. The one that she will use as a guest room will need to double as her home office space because there is not room to place her computer and desk any other place. We decided that she can place a daybed in the small room for guests. This will allow extra seating if she does not have anyone staying over, and a place to sleep when she does. We went to find a daybed comforter set that would hold up well to people sitting on it as well as providing comfort for those sleeping overnight.

The rural area does not provide for many shopping choices. We drove several miles to the nearest town and looked at the two stores that carry bedding. The daybed comforter set that the first store had was very frilly and feminine. It did not match my daughters decorating tastes. In the second store the daybed comforter set was a solid dark blue color. We were discussing it this would work if she would arrange different colored pillows on it. The clerk told us that she was unable to find a daybed comforter set that she liked so she had decided to buy a queen size comforter and arrange it on the bed so that it hangs to the floor. This eliminates the need for the bed skirt. The daybed has arms and a back so having the comforter tucked on the sides works well. This allowed us many more choices in colors and textures. My daughter has created a cute comfortable apartment for herself and she is helping people to have a better life through her social work.
