Bed Storage

I have a small place and I have to find storage space in places I never thought about before. I have found places to put things that I would never have thought of in the past, and unless I want to be buried alive, I have to find some more space. To say my place is small is an understatement, but I can’t just get rid of everything I own because I don’t have the space. I am now looking into bed storage as a way to use up more space for my family’s belongings.

One great way to use the space under your bed for bed storage is to buy containers that are made just to go under the bed. They are usually short enough to fit under almost any bed, but they are long and wide. Some come with wheels, and they easily slide underneath the bed. This type of bed storage is good for just about anything, but you may find it is a great place to store seasonal clothing. You may also want to store extra blankets under there if you have extra lying around.

You can get a bed that has storage built right in. This type of bed storage comes in the form of a platform. You will not longer have any space under your bed, as it sits directly on the floor, but the bed is elevated and may come with storage space. Many of them have drawers of various sizes that you can use for a dresser if you are going for the minimalist look, or you can use if for long-term bed storage for any other thing you may want to store away.

You don’t need a container for bed storage if you don’t want to buy something that is bulky. You could buy the vacuum bag that you fill with clothing or blankets. These are great because once you suck all of the air out of them you can stack a few of them on top of each other and slide them under your bed. This may be the best way to get the most out of under the bed storage area. You can fit more things under there this way. You should be able to fit twenty sweaters in a space that normally might fit two or three. You can even use this for pillows and heavy winter coats.
